Girls Cross Country recognized as best in Michigan.

Recognition for the West Ottawa Girls Cross Country program continued this weekend. The Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association (MITCA) awarded the WO Girls Cross Country team the top  “Academic All State” honor for having the highest team GPA in Division 1 girls. Any team that competes at the MHSAA State Finals is eligible for this award, and

Girls Cross Country runs to best State Meet finish in 22 years.

The WO Girls Cross Country team finished 11th in the state on Saturday, their best state meet performance in 22 years. The only other time WO placed higher was in 1996, when the team finished 10th. Panther Girls Lax receives grant from USA Lacrosse.

Recently West Ottawa Girls Lacrosse Head Coach Aaron Skomial was informed that his program was chosen to receive a grant through USA Lacrosse. Coach Skomial had the following reaction. This gift of this equipment will allow our women athletes at WO the opportunity to play lacrosse without having to purchase the equipment.  We’ll provide the
