Men's Cross-country Team Takes Second Place in Home Invite

On a windy Saturday morning on their home course, the men's cross-country team used a powerful pack to take the second place trophy at the 43rd annual Bredeweg Invitational. 6 Panther men earned medals as the panthers defeated all but one of 21 teams in the race. Senior Captain, Michael Dummer (12th place in 16:52) led the way as freshman standout Max Post finished in 13th place with a 16:53. The Panther pack was rounded out by junior Boston WIlkinson (16th place, 17:01), senior Cam DeVries (17th place, 17:06) and senior Jake Follett (19th place, 17:08). The varsity top 7 included junior Sebastian Ruiz (23rd, 17:15) and sophomore Nick Deroo who ran a personal best time of 17:39 to finish in 39th place. The Panthers next race will be Tuesday, September 9 in the first OK RED CONFERENCE Jamboree of the season, hosted by Grandville at South Chrisitan High School.
