Hey Tennis Fans, The Ladies are continuing to impress. Following strong performances with Grand Rapids Christian and Holland Christian last Friday, the girls headed out to Jenison this afternoon to face the Wildcats. Jenison brought in a talented group of freshman to fill out their singles roster. They took on our veteran crew of Evie, Danielle, Jessica, and Kayla. While the scores lean strong on West Ottawa's side, the quality of tennis was high on both sides of the net. All these freshmen in singles allowed Jenison to maintain an experienced doubles crew. The doubles matches featured some longer and closer games, and finished out the action tonight. In the end, all 5 of our doubles flights closed their matches out in straight sets, but again, with lots of good play on both sides. The girls got experience playing matches in the cold and breeze today, after playing the first matches indoors on Friday. The varied experience is adding up. I see them getting more comfortable with their partners. I see them trusting their shots under pressure, and having fun under pressure. I see them eating healthy, stretching after matches, and building bonds with their teammates. I see a group of young women growing up well.
