Well WO Tennis Family, Today is a day to celebrate. For the 9th straight year, the girls have finished league play as Conference Champions! Not only that, but they did it in the most dominant fashion yet during the streak, winning 7 of the 9 flights! Here is the point breakdown for each team: 1st - West Ottawa 51 Points 2nd - Rockford 44 Points 3rd - Hudsonville 34 Points 4th - Grandville 29 Points 5th - Grand Haven 22 Points 6th - East Kentwood 9 Points And here's how we did by Flight: 1 Singles: Junior Evie Price finished Conference Finalist 2 Singles: Freshman Izzy Gitler finished Conference Champion 3 Singles: Freshman Sydney Shafer finished Conference Champion 4 Singles: Senior Maggie Rothstein finished Conference Champion 1 Doubles: Seniors Kallyn Gaul and Lovelle Kim finished 3rd Place 2 Doubles: Junior Hope Hughes and Sophomore Haylee Geerlings finished Conference Champions 3 Doubles: Sophomores Audrey Anderson and Olivia Smith finished Conference Champions 4 Doubles: Sophomores Mallory Paff and Hope Sikorski finished Conference Champions 5th Doubles: Junior Paislee Hartman and Freshman Eden Slager finished Conference Champions In all, West Ottawa won 7 of the 9 flights, with Grandville and Rockford each winning one of the remaining flights. The girls will rest up tomorrow, then begin preparations for the Regional Championships on Thursday, hosted right here at West Ottawa. With a win on Thursday we would claim our 8th Straight Regional, and the girls are motivated to make it happen.
