Hey WO Tennis Family, The girls put on a great display of tennis Wednesday as they engaged in their 3rd OK-Red Duel. Grandville is a team on the rise, both in terms of talent, but even more so in their attitude and effort levels. Big shout out to Coach Wagley for the job he is doing raising the level of Bulldog tennis. That said, our girls were ready, and got the job done by defeating Grandville 8-1. We had some of the best energy I've seen from our crew all year. More than that, our girls played with an increased level of confidence. Our racket head speed was the highest it's been all season. Our footwork was crisp. We were looking to get both doubles players to the net whenever possible. Our communication was sharp. Our singles players were laser focused, although that's hardly anything new. All in all, an A+ job for a group that is in the middle of a fantastic season. Our next test is a big one, as we will head to the East side of the state for a second time this spring on Saturday to play some of Division 1's best teams. Here are the latest State Rankings: 1. Northville 2. Eisenhower 3. Novi 4. West Ottawa 5. Pioneer 6. Bloomfield Hills 7. Clarkston 8. Troy 9. Stoney Creek 10t. Okemos and Portage Central This weekend we will take on 9th ranked Stoney Creek and 10th ranked Okemos. Although we are 4th, there's likely little difference between our and their talent...all of the top 10 teams are outstanding. I'm expecting some battles this weekend! Special thanks to everyone who follows along and comes out to the matches. I'm enjoying coaching as much as I ever have, and the community is absolutely the reason. So again, thanks for being such active supporters. -Coach Pete Schwallier
