Boys Track Victorious Over Grandville- Record Broken

Last night, the boys track had their first competition of the season against Grandville. Despite missing our top thrower and top hurdler, the boys team still came away with a victory- winning 71-62. In addition, a long standing school record was broken. Charlie Sanders broke the school record in the 100m dash running 10.63. The previous record of 10.74 was held by Ben Evans (2002). Other event winners include: Cam DeVries, Isaac Riley, Lucas Looman, and Jake Follett won the 4x800 relay running 8:26. Charlie Sanders won the 100m (10.63 PR) and 200m Dash (21.79 PR) Sebastian Ruiz won the 1600m run (4:40.94) Christian Lewis, Vinh Tran, Jeremiah Edwards-Tate, and Charlie Sanders won the 4x100 Relay running 44.83. Jake Piotrzkowski won the 400m dash (53.66 PR) Boston Wilkinson won the 3200m run (10:13.2) Marcos Martinez won the Shot Put (39'0" PR) Dante Martinez won the Discus (129'5" PR) MANY of the athletes had PR (Personal Record) performances. It was a great start to the season. The top varsity athletes will compete in the Ram Classic Invite on Friday. GO WO!
