West Ottawa went 2-1 in pool play defeating Montague 25-6, 25-16 and Grant 25-13, 26-24 before losing a tight match to Coopersville 24-26, 24-26. The panthers still came out first in their pool moving on to the Gold Bracket. West Ottawa beat Kingsley 25-20, 25-20 in the quarter finals, Fruitport 18-25, 25-22, 15-13 in the semi finals before facing Coopersville in the finals. The panthers lost a close match once again to Coopersville 24-26, 20-25 finishing runner in the12 team tourney. Leading the lady Panthers on the day was senior OH Natalie Dunn with 42 kills, 29 digs and 8 aces. Macy Kuyers chipped in 39 kills and 15 blocks and Abby Sprick contributed 67 assists and 18 digs. Maggie Wehrmeyer led the defense with 49 digs and 10 aces. Overall a great day for WO moving forward into conference play. WO travels to GH Thursday to open up the OK Red Conference. West Ottawa is currently 16-8-1 on the season.
