Carston Cole led the panther pack of personal records to defy the odds at the Portage State Regional meet today. Cole moved from 56th place on paper to 13th place in reality while racing to a personal best time of 16:24. In addition to earning a reginoal medal, all-region honors and qualifying for the state finals, Cole moved up to the 3rd fastest 5k time for a sopomore at West Ottawa and into the number 12 spot on the list of all time fastest 5k runners at WO. Rookie sophomore Mayson Levandoski and freshman standout COnnor Wooley both raced to personal records with a 17:32 and a 17:34 respectively. West Ottawa’s top 5 was rounded out by seniors Colin Brown and Thomas Dummer, running personal best times of 17:50 and 18:06 respectively. Great job Panthers!
