The Panthers came out strong to challenge the physical play of the Rams. Rams scored the first goal with a counter attack long ball. Panthers kept their heads in the game and scored the second goal off of Gavin Hardy direct kick from twenty five yards out. Rams return the favor with their own direct kick goal to take the lead for the second time. Gavin Hardy had a chance to tie it with another direct kick. He served the ball well to have the ball bounce off of a Rams defender to tie the game for the second time. Second half was not a disappointment as the Panthers and Rams battled it with tough tackles. The pace of the game was like a playoff game and clearly both teams would not quit. After thirty minutes of play in the second half, Panthers had two great chances on goal with excellent build up from the midfield. They were unable to strike the ball well enough to take the lead. Rams hung on and had the final push to finish the game by scoring a goal with less than three minutes left in the game off of a poor clearance from the back line. Tough loss but Panthers can see their improvements and will need to prepare for the Dutch of Holland this Saturday.
