Spring Athletic Development Starts Monday

Athletes not participating in a spring sports are highly encouraged to attend workouts at the north high school weight room. Workouts will take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00-4:30. Athletes will work on agility, strength, and flexibility training.  

Girls Track Info….

Practice will start on March 12th at 3:30pm.  The team will meet in the Dance Room on the second level of the North Gym.  You must have a physical on file before you can practice.  You must always be prepared for practice to be held indoors or outdoors.  Coaches will make decision depending on weather.

Jordan Welling All-State Diver

Congratulations to SR Jordan Welling on earning All-State honors in diving at the MHSAA Division 1 finals. Jordan finished fifth in 1 meter diving. Great job Jordan!

Tabahn Afrik All-State Swimmer

Congratulations to freshman Tabahn Afrik on earning All-State honors in Swimming at the MHSAA Division 1 finals. Tabahn finished sixth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.72. Great job Tabahn.  

Boys Basketball Battles, but Loses in First Round

We here at wopanthers.com were very excited for district action Wednesday night. Jenison came out just as excited as us as they went on a 9-0 run to start the game- and never looked back. Boys Basketball District Predictions

As one of the Executive Sports Writers, I predicted the outcome of District 5. I am very keen on Jenison, as they are hosting Districts and hold the home court advantage factor. I am also looking forward to watching Zeeland East because they have the potential to make a deep run in the playoffs. Round

Miguel Correa places 5th at State Finals

Congratulations to Miguel Correa on earning All-State for placing 5th at the MHSAA state wrestling finals. Miguel finished his Junior year with a 44-7 record. Miguel was also the OK Red, District, and Regional champion. Great job Miguel.    

West Ottawa Girls Basketball- District Champions

Congratulations to the West Ottawa girls basketball team on winning the MHSAA District championship. The Panthers defeated Grandville 43-40. West Ottawa will play again on Tuesday, March 8th @ Rockford High School vs. Northview. Game time is 7:00. Congratulations to coach Plewes and the entire varsity basketball team. Great job. GO WO!  

WO Girls Basketball Advances To Play For District Title

West Ottawa defeated Zeeland East 49-39 Wednesday night. The Panthers will take on Grandville Friday at 7:00 @ West Ottawa for the MHSAA District championship. Please come out and support our girls. GO WO!
