The girls track and field team beat Hudsonville 90-47 and Caledonia 80-57 this week in OK Red dual meets. The Panthers are 4-0 and tied for first in the OK Red with Rockford.
Against Hudsonville Jasmine Correa led the way with wins in the discus and a lifetime best throw of 41’ 6.5”. Raegan Lantz also jumped a lifetime best of 4’8” in the high jump. The Panthers also scored critical points in the sprints and distance events and multiple athletes running person bests.
At Caledonia Arianne Olson broke the 1600m school record in a time of 5:03.75! Lauren Coppersmith ran under 13 seconds in the 100m for the first time this season with a time of 12.8. The girls 4x 200 and 4x 400 relays also ran big seasons best times. Like every meet this season, it’s been a collective effort across all the event groups (sprints, jumps, throws and distance) and many individuals competing in multiple events to earn a win against both Hudsonville and Caledonia.
