Panthers News · Panthers tab Caleb Duckworth to lead Hockey Program

West Ottawa Athletic Director, Bill Kennedy has tabbed West Michigan native Caleb Duckworth to lead the Panther Hockey Program. Duckworth will take over the program as former Head Coach Nick Biondo recently stepped down to focus on raising his three young children.

“Caleb brings energy and experience to a program that is well established due to the leadership of Coach Biondo in recent years. With experience coaching at multiple levels we look forward to the next chapter in West Ottawa Hockey’s story.” Kennedy said.

Coach Duckworth grew up in the Holland area and played most of his youth hockey at what is now Griff’s Icehouse West.  After graduating high school, he began coaching at the youth level in Holland and Grand Rapids.  While attending Grand Valley State University, he had the opportunity to travel abroad to Chile and Argentina where he helped coach the newly founded Chilean National Team. For the past four years, he was coaching for the Fox Motors hockey program in Grand Rapids.  He currently works for a regional bank in the area and resides in Zeeland with his wife Jocelyn and their two children Gabriel and Belinda.
