Panther Fund
Getting Kids in the Game

The Panther Fund was created to help students of West Ottawa high or middle schools that want to play sports but cannot afford the start-up costs. Assistance will focus around sports physicals, insurance, basic equipment, and West Ottawa summer camps. We believe that athletics are an important part of a student’s education and personal development, and want to provide a means for “getting kids in the game.”

How do I apply for assistance? Confidential assistance is offered through the West Ottawa Athletic Department. Please contact any coach or Pat Marsman, West Ottawa Athletic Director, marsmanp@westottawa.net , 616 994-5030.

Who is eligible for assistance? The program is for students in grades 7-12 attending West Ottawa Public Schools participating on a school team or sports camp.

Who approves and administers the assistance? The Athletic Department will administer the program and make decisions on eligibility. The application process and identity of those that receive assistance are strictly confidential.

How can I contribute? Individuals and corporate tax deductible donations can be sent to the West Ottawa Athletic Office 3685 Butternut, Holland, MI 49424. Please make check’s payable to West Ottawa Panther Fund and write “Donation” in the memo line.
