    • Technical Ability – skills and abilities both on and off the ball. “Do you demonstrate proper technique? Can you perform basic skills under increasingly difficult circumstances (time, pressure)?”  Skills to be evaluated include individual ball control, passing, finishing, possessing, and defending.
    • Tactical Ability – Do you know what the team/coach expects in certain situations during the game? Can you visualize aspects of team shape and anticipate/create play?”
    • Mental Ability – thinking the game, moving on after mistakes, practice/game focus. “Will you take steps to prepare yourself mentally for every practice/contest? Do you possess the mental toughness to be a champion?”
    • Emotional – use of emotions in a positive manner. “Are you in control of your emotions or are they in control of you? Do you display confidence in your ability and in the ability of the team to succeed?”
    • Lifestyle – off field behavior/decision making, habits in the classroom and community, being a good teammate. “Are you a person of character that will be a good representative of West Ottawa Girl’s Soccer? Will you respect ALL members of the team and work to promote a sense of team UNITY?”
