Meet Recap

The WO Girls CC team had a strong showing at their third and final OK Red Jamboree. After placing second and first respectively at the first two conference races, the girls finished as runner-up to a very competitive Rockford team. This finish marks the best overall conference finish in roughly a decade and matches the program’s best finish on record.

Leading the way for the panthers were Iris Swarthout, Emma DeNave, Taylor Schott, and Abby Olson. All four runners earned 1st team all-conference honors. Katie Frauenheim finished 24th in the field, running an incredibly competitive race, ensuring the panthers would finish well in the standings.

Both teams competed closely throughout the race, however Rockford claimed the jamboree win and overall conference title. Overall conference standings landed Rockford with 6 points overall, WO with 7, and Grand Haven with 12 points. Last year, WO earned 16 points in the conference standings, so this is a significant improvement for the program.

Currently, the panthers are ranked 10th in Division 1.
