Meet Recap

Aaron Weimer strongly represented the West Ottawa Men’s Cross-country team in a state finals race that had some shoe-stealing mud in places and much warmer than usual weather for November. Despite being a “cold weather” runner, Aaron moved up from his predicted place of 156th to 121 in a time of 16:58. As difficult as it can be for a single runner to race without team mates, Aaron took off fast at the start and tried to compete with the best division 1 runners in the state. As he crossed the finish line just ahead of a competitor, he knew that he had gained valuable experience and additional motivation to try to lead the Panthers to the state finals as a team next season.
