Meet Recap

Aaron Weimer was the brightest star for the West Ottawa men’s cross-country team on Saturday at the state regional meet. His 11th place finish earned him a trip to the State Finals at Michigan International Speedway next Saturday, November 5. With just about 200 meters to go in the 3.1 mile race, Weimer was in 17th place and had to really kick it in to make the top 15 finishers to qualify. He did so in fine fashion, passing 6 runners in the final stretch. Jake Stryker finished second for the Panthers in 31st overall while Logan Reimink and Liam Walits finished in 44th and 65th places respectively. The top five scoring for West Ottawa was rounded out by Shaun Lohman in 70th place.
