Meet Recap

Aaron Weimer’s (16:45) 8th place finish was one of the bright spots for the men’s cross-country team as they took on the tough OK Red conference on Tuesday afternoon in Grand Haven. Weimer’s performance sets him up for a possible run at all-conference in the OK Red finals on October 20. Jake Styker (17:10), Logan Reimink (17:33) and Liam Walits (17:52) were joined by freshman Thomas Dummer (18:20) rounding out the top five for West Ottawa. The Panthers managed to pull further ahead of Grandville than they had before, yet failed to gain much ground on the rest of the conference. the panther cross-country teams travel to Portage this Saturday for an elite race packed with many excellent teams. Men’s varsity race will be at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 8.
