Panther of the Week

Reece Lindemann

As the purple crowd roared, the Panther Hockey team was down 2-3 to Grand Haven in the best attended game of the year. With 14:37 to go in the 3rd period as the puck slid to the outside hash mark in Grand Haven’s zone, Olli Hakosalo passed the puck out to Reece Lindemann who waited on the point. Lindemann then shot a one timer that flew past the Grand Haven goalie, hitting the bar and dropping down into the net. 3-3. With a little over 8:49  to go in the game, Jr. Jake Zimmerman scored the go ahead goal and the Panthers held on,  winning 4-3.

Earlier that week, Lindemann helped the outmatched Panthers, assisting one goal and allowing Forest Hills Central to score only 1 of their 7 goals when he was on the ice as a defenseman. Despite Lindemann’s stellar play, the team lost to the Tier 1 Rangers.

The Panther hockey team, led by senior captain Reece Lindemann, is 17-1-1 on the season, comfortably leading Tier 3.

This is the first of the “Panther of the Week” series.`
